Day 1

PI-RAHI (Northern Region Science and Technology Cluster) Kicks Off Two-Day Artificial Intelligence Workshop on "Transforming Tomorrow: Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Agriculture, Health, and Ecosystem Resilience” at Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility (SAIF)/CIL, Panjab University,Chandigarh. The event focused on the transformative potential of hashtag#artificialintelligence in addressing critical challenges in hashtag#agriculture, hashtag#healthcare, and hashtag#sustainability. We were honored to have Dr Akhilesh Gupta , Retd. Secretary, Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) chaired the workshop. Sir focused on building a value chain wherein agriculture, water and health are connected and centralisation of data is crucial step in hashtag#healthcare During the workshop, Dr Akhilesh Gupta,alongside Dr. Harsh Nayyar,Director of the R&D cell at PU ; Dr. Rajat Sandhir and Pushpendra P. Singh , Directors ,PI-RAHI (Northern Region Science and Technology Cluster) and Neha Arora, COO ,PI-RAHI unveiled significant initiatives SHINE – SKILL, HARVEST, INNOVATE, NETWORK AND EARN Initiative wherein PI-RAHI would seek hashtag#youngprofessionals who will empower the S&T ecosystem . Workshop included the talk of Dr. Poonam Saini ,Associate Professor, Punjab Engineering College presented on ‘Evolution of hashtag#AI and Data Science and Engineering’. She put a strong emphasis on hashtag#ResponsiveAI. Dr. Amit Kumar ,Senior Principal Scientist and Head, IHBT-CSIR, presented on ‘AI Based High Resolution Remote Sensing for Commercially Important Medicinal and Aromatic Crops of Himalayas’. Dr. Kumar talked about the role of AI in hashtag#remotesensing through satellites for precision agriculture. Keynote Address: Prof. Prof. Moni Madaswamy, Retd. Director General of the National Informatics Centre, shared insights on the evolving landscape of informatics, its impact on agriculture, and pathways for agricultural innovations and smart farming in the country. Panel Discussion: A dynamic panel on “AgriTech Revolution: The Impact of AI on Farming Practices” featured: Dr. Navjot Kaur, Assistant Professor, Plaksha University Dr. Neeraj Goel Assistant Professor, IIT Ropar Ms. Er. Mamta Bhardwaj, COO, STPI NEURON - Centre of Entrepreneurship, Mohali Dr. Ritesh Kumar, Principal Scientist, CSIR-CSIO Cdr. Sridhar Kotra, Co-Founder, AgriMatrix Pvt. Ltd. Moderated by Dr. Radhika Trikha, COO, iHub - AWaDH The workshop also had founders talk from Agrimatrix pvt ltd and Shashank Misra , CEO Ekak Innovations.

Day 2

Key Highlights: 🔹 Virtual Session by Anvita G.: CEO of AINovo Biotech at Stanford University, discussed generative AI's revolutionary impact on diagnostics and drug discovery for cancer and infectious diseases. 🔹 Expert Talks: Debnath Pal, Prof. IISc : Presented a case study on oral cancer and the AI model MIDAS. Dr Bhaskar Rajakumar, Program Director , Artpark@IISc : Discussed AI's role in tackling dengue and ARTPARK@IISc's collaborative efforts. Nihar Desai,Program Lead,IISc : Presented on NLP and LLM applications in public healthcare. Cory Cox , Northeastern University:presented on tackling challenges in algorithmic complexity ,big data ,or resulting from gaps in available toolsets Dr. Suresh K. Sharma, Prof. Dept. of statistics : Shared insights on advanced statistical techniques in AI. Dr. Mona Duggal,PGIMER : Highlighted AI's role in screening diabetic retinopathy. Sanjay Sood, Ph.D.,Project Director - eSanjeevani (National Telemedicine Service), Govt of India. C-DAC Mohali : Spoke about eSanjeevani's AI-driven healthcare delivery model. Rajnish Kumar ,IIT BHU, Visiting scientist ,karolinska institute : Presented on AI's potential in healthcare. 🔹 Founder Talk: Parminder Singh, Co-founder of ZippiAi, shared his vision and experiences.
